Our
focus and philosophy
Our business focus is helping small companies bring their businesses online - or improve their existing websites and
marketing efforts. Our
purpose is to help companies like yours increase your reach, attract new customers
and market your products and services effectively online.
Most business owners are too busy
managing their business to
learn everything necessary to create and maintain a compelling and effective website - and
maximize their online marketing results.
We bring a decade of experience with online marketing and Internet
technology to people who don't have the time or resources to invest in the
learning curve. We do not concentrate on high-dollar e-commerce
applications as that is not what the typical small business needs today.
Pricing &
support
There is no such thing as a "one size fits all" approach to web
design and tailor-made marketing strategies. The cost to create a basic
website can be similar to that required to produce a four-color brochure for
print. The variables are many - and oftentimes different for every type of
business. However, there is no cost to talk to us.
Let us know what you're looking for and how we might help. We'll give
you a no-nonsense proposal and a full description of options and marketing ideas.
Support is part of the Webunet difference, we live here and work here and are
available to answer your questions.

Internet/small business philosophy
If you're in business you MUST have an online presence
if
you hope to grow and attract new customers. This becomes more critical to
your business' long-term survival each day.
The Webunet Group has been involved with the Internet for more
than a decade, and zealously believe in the promise (and even much of the
hype) associated with the Internet. We know that the Net is
transforming the way people do business, and it will continue to gain in
importance. However, the question of online commerce is a difficult
thing to assess for many small businesses because...
The bad guys are winning (for
now)
Few small businesses can afford to staff full-time technology
positions or hire network administrators to manage an e-commerce operation and
cope with the firewall issues, intruder attacks, viruses, etc. that an
e-commerce site is prone to. Without such protection, doing commerce
online is can be precarious.
Unfortunately, the bad guys are making online commerce difficult for small businesses. The amount of fraud, identity theft,
server hacking, pfhishing, spam, scams and other illegal activities has been
increasing every year. So far, no government laws have had any noticeable
effect on this activity.
Brochure-ware vs. eCommerce
After analyzing the expense and the potential for loss,
liability or damages, you must ask yourself is it really essential that you
actually complete transactions online, or merely provide an interactive
means (brochure) for someone to learn about your products or services and
contact you with questions, and buy your goods.
As an example, a business that
produces home-made spices or wildlife carvings, etc. can thrive with a website
that displays their wares, discusses manufacturing methods, describes the
company, people and what makes their products distinctive.
An eye-catching online brochure is more powerful than
any
advertisement in magazines, newspapers or the yellow pages. People today
search the Net before turning to the phone book, and there is no more
persuasive or cost-effective way to promote a business than having a well
designed website.
We can help you decide what degree of e-commerce you want to
perform online.
